HyPlex is a direct-drive pump family
In a rotary direct-drive waterjet pump, an electric motor drives a crank and plungers to pressurize the water. Flow identifies HyPlex Prime as a direct-drive pump. This architecture differs from the hydraulic intensifier arrangement.
The exact model and revision still matter. Do not assume that every pump called HyPlex uses the same components or service procedure. The nameplate, serial number, supplied manuals, and prior service records should be used to establish the applicable requirements.
HyperJet is an intensifier pump family
An intensifier system uses hydraulic power to drive the intensifier and generate high-pressure water. Flow identifies HyperJet as an intensifier pump. Its inspection and maintenance needs must be considered within that architecture and the installed configuration.
Pressure limits, component ratings, and operating settings must be taken from the documentation applicable to your machine. A product-family description or a headline pressure figure is not permission to change an operating setting. Components must be correctly identified and suitable for the system.
Bring the operating history into the assessment
A service discussion should include what the pump is doing, when the behavior occurs, and what changed beforehand. A start failure, a pressure fluctuation during cutting, and a recurring maintenance concern may require different investigations.
Report the exact alarm wording and use existing normal-interface readings where available. Include recent repairs, part replacements, water-supply changes, and any known modifications. If the history is incomplete, say so; an accurate gap is more useful than a guessed part number or operating value.

Plan service within safe boundaries
A professional scope may involve condition assessment, model-specific maintenance, review of supply conditions and controls, and evaluation of the reported pressure behavior. The appropriate work depends on equipment identity and findings.
Ultrahigh-pressure repairs require authorized personnel and the applicable OEM procedures. Stop unsafe operation and follow your site’s lockout/tagout requirements. Do not touch suspected leaks, open pressure-containing components, or bypass protective devices to help diagnose a problem.
