Flow Mach 2, 3, 4 and 500 service guide

The Mach name identifies a Flow machine family, but it does not tell the whole service story. Highline uses the actual table, pump, cutting head, controls, options, and maintenance history to discuss a repair or planned service visit.

One guide for different Mach generations

Flow’s earlier selection literature includes Mach 2, Mach 3, and Mach 4 systems. Its current Mach 500 literature describes a configurable platform with several cutting-head and pump options. These product references are useful background; they are not a substitute for the records that belong to your machine.

Avoid choosing a procedure or replacement part from a family name alone. Machines within the same family can differ by size, production year, installed options, control version, and changes made during their service life. Identify the complete configuration before confirming compatibility.

Identify each major component

Begin with the machine nameplate and then identify the pump separately. Record the cutting-head type and any fitted height-control or auxiliary equipment. If a retrofit was performed, include the documentation and the approximate date.

For example, Flow lists Standard, Dynamic, and Dynamic XD cutting-head options for the Mach 500, along with multiple pump choices. That does not mean every Mach 500 includes those features. An assessment must use the equipment actually present, rather than a specification from a different build.

Match the service to the problem

For a stopped machine, the first useful information is the exact alarm and the stage where the operating sequence stopped. For a running machine with quality concerns, retain sample-part measurements and relevant production settings. For planned maintenance, gather service history and operating records.

Legacy equipment may require additional time to establish parts identity, documentation, or the effect of previous modifications. Support and parts availability need confirmation before a visit is scheduled; the presence of a model in this guide is not a promise that every repair or upgrade can be supplied.

Prepare a practical machine record

A short, accurate equipment record can save repeated questions and help define the next step.

  • Mach family, full model designation, and machine serial number
  • Pump family, model, serial number, and available service records
  • Cutting-head type, controls or software version if known, and major accessories
  • Site location, current symptoms, existing alarms, and preferred service window

Discuss your Mach system

Highline provides independent Flow-focused service. Chris’s individual background includes working as a Flow field service engineer from 2019 through 2023; Highline is a separate company, not an OEM-authorized service operation.

Call 706-476-3632 or email chris@highlinewaterjet.com. Scheduled nationwide visits require confirmation of scope, equipment, location, parts, and availability.
